Three's a Charm

James Farris was born on April 10, 1934 and he passed away on April 09, 1975, the day before his 41st birthday. James served our country in the Army Special Forces where he eventually crushed his leg in a car crash during duty and was honorably discharged due to the accident. James, known as "Jay" by his family and friends, joined the Rockingham County Sheriff's Department after he left the army. He married his wife, Becky, and they had five children together. They both passed away at early ages and their children were forced to move in the different family members. Jay was a great man and veteran to not only our country, but to our community as well.

John Farris Sr. was born on August 12, 1946. He is married to his wife Cynthia Farris and has two children, John and Ginger, who are now grown. John worked throughout different textile mills, but retired from Unifi after working there many years. He loves spending his time with his friends and family.  John is currently working part-time for Carolina Fuel in Eden, North Carolina. He loves his job and the fact that it gives him something to do. John loves animals and loves spending any of his extra time outdoors. 


 

Ronald Farris who was born on February 11, 1949 was the youngest son of Bill and Virigina Farris. He loves everything about the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Everyone calls him Moose because of his performance on the Morehead Football Team when he was in high school. He served many years in the National Guard. Ronald, known as Ronnie by most people, resides in the Shiloh community of Stoneville, North Carolina. He is retired from Unifi of Mayodan, N.C. He married Peggy Adkins Farris and had no children of his own. He adopted his niece, Dixie, when his brother, Jay, passed away. He also helped raise his wife's children, Timothy and Johnny Meeks. He has two granddaughters, Brooke White and Paige Richardson.
