Bill Farris was born in Stoneville, North Carolina on December 25, 1916 to John and Maggie Farris. Virginia Strong Farris was born on March 14, 1914 to Bob and May Strong. Bill and Virginia Farris were married in the year of 1933 and that is where their journey began. On April 10, 1934 they welcomed their first son, James. Over a decade later, Virginia gave birth to a little boy, John, on August 12, 1946. Finally, their third son, Ronald, was born in February 11, 1949. The young family lived in Stoneville, North Carolina for several years before moving to Eden, North Carolina. The couple was very successful in the restaurant business; they owned two cafes, The Piedmont Cafe and the Draper Cafe. They eventually purchased a farm on Grogan Road near the Shiloh Airport in Stoneville, North Carolina. This farm remains in the care of John and Ronald Farris at the present time. Bill and Virginia were hard-working folks that loved their lives and their children. In later years, Virginia passed away on March 19, 1971 while Bill lived much longer. He later joined his wife in eternal rest on October 13, 1993.
